Refund policy

The Perfume Oil Company Returns Policy 


1. Returns or Exchanges

Subject to the rights granted to you under Australian Consumer Law, all products sold by The Perfume Oil Company are considered final sale. Due to the nature of our products and relevant health and safety standards, returns and exchanges are generally not accepted unless required by law.

Please note that we do not offer exchanges or refunds for change of mind, including those requested due to personal opinions of fragrances/scent profiles. If your product is faulty (e.g. sprayer not working, broken bottle cap etc.), please contact us immediately and our customer service team will assess your enquiry.

Faulty products will be reviewed by our team and you will be contacted within 7 business days of their arrival advising you of the outcome. If your product is deemed faulty, it will be replaced and your postage costs will be reimbursed. If your product is not deemed faulty, it will be returned to you at your own cost.

If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to collect from the post office, we can re-send it upon request. Additional postage charges to will apply. 


2. Australian Consumer Law

In Australia, goods come with guarantees which cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

If you think there has been a failure of a consumer guarantee, please return your unopened products to us. You are responsible for associated costs (including delivery) for returning the products to us. If your claim is valid under the Australian Consumer Law, we will refund your return delivery costs. Depending on the failure, we will either dispatch a replacement product to you or refund the product price.


3.European Union 14 Day Cooling- Off Period 

Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.
